I am researching my family's past and came across your page on Howland Lathrop. He is my direct ancestor. You have a question mark by what happened to his son, Luther. Luther married a woman Miami Woodworth (b. 1820 Genesee county, NY) and they lived in Michigan. They had a son John Wesley Lathrup (spelled with a "up" by this time) who was born in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Wayne County, Michigan. J.W. married Annie Mallendar from Waleswood, Yorkshire, England (born 3/3/1861) and they had a son Earl Lathrup, my great grandfather, in 1898 (also in Michigan).
