Hello.
I'm one of the southernmost "cousins" of the widespread Lathrop family. It is unclear if my branch came from USA or England, though basically we remain closer to English tradition.
The family has owned, in past, a printer business in the center of Santiago in the late 1800's. My grandfather Luis (around 1895)was a dealer that had two children: Hugo (father, 1918) and Mario (uncle, 1921) Luis, the third child, died very young.
Other cities have their very own branches. My father was preparing a complete record of our genealogy, but I don't know whether we kept it or not. I used to care a lot about that but now I don't.

I would be happy to send any information I have about my gr gr grandmother's descendants.
MARY ANNE LATHROP WILSON and her husband WILLIAM W. WILSON's daughter MARY ELLEN WILSON was my gr. gr. grandmother. Mary Ellen married LYMAN EMORY STRONG. They only had one son FRED NELSON STRONG my grandfather. He married ESTELLA LENORE MOORHEAD. They had four children MARY ADELIA STRONG TOPEL, JAMES LYMAN STRONG (my father) JOSEPH EDWARD STRONG SR. and FRED NELSON STRONG JR.
There were eight grandchildren and I have not been able to count the gr,gr. grandchildren
Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to fill in the blanks for you on my connection to the LATHROP FAMILY
My husband is directly descended from Rev. John Lathrop/Lothrop/Lowthropp, however you want to spell it. LOL
